Nick Knight and Tyler Michel are the photographers I have chosen these two fashion photographers to research and evaluate their work. I will use example of their work when explain their impact and contrast in their work as photographers. The style and techniques they have used over the years in their work.
Nick Knight is not just known as a Fashion photographer but also to those in the world of fashion, film and music as someone who can create videos and visuals art using his camera. Nick Knight has being working as a photographer since 1982 and still manages to be one of the top photographers in the fashion industry since publishing his first book of photographs, Skinheads.
Over the decades he managed to stay current by experimenting with the latest technologies and exploring fashion through moving image, illustration, photography and the written word.
He is really a genius one of theworld’s most influential and visionary photographers, and founder and director of award-winning fashion website SHOWstudio.com.
He does not just push himself but pushed the client he is working with to get the most out of them. He is known as The God for marrying performance Art, Music, fashion and visuals naturally.
As a fashion photographer, he has consistently challenged conventional notions of beauty and is celebrated for his ground breaking creative collaborations with leading designers and musicians around the world.
Designers such as Yohji Yamamoto, John Galliano, Alexander McQueen to name a few and musicians such as Rihanna, Kanye West and Lady Gaga to also named a few.
He has done advertising campaigns for clients such as Christian Dior, Lancôme, Swarovski, Tom Ford, Calvin Klein or Yves Saint Laurent as well as award-winning editorial for W, British Vogue/ most recent Rihanna vogue cover in 2018, Paris Vogue, Man and i-D magazines.
He has also done books and exhibited for international art institutions such as the Tate Modern, Victoria & Albert Museum, Saatchi Gallery, the Photographers’ Gallery and also produced a permanent installation Plant Power for the Natural History Museum.
